Sơn La Arabica

Grown in Chiềng Ban, Sơn La — about 320km northwest of Hanoi in Vietnam's mountainous Tây Bắc region, an area better known for tea and fruit than for coffee. Arabica is genuinely rare this far north in Vietnam, and the Catimor variety grown here at 850–950 meters produces something quite different from the Robusta most people associate with Vietnamese coffee.

This lot is naturally processed, giving it a delicate black tea character layered with crisp grape and apricot notes — a cup that leans more toward what you'd expect from an East African or Central American Arabica than a typical Vietnamese one. It's roasted light-medium and best suited to filter methods that let those brighter, fruit-forward notes come through clearly.

Sourced as single origin and roasted in small batches at our Hanoi roastery, it's available whole bean or ground for phin, French press, Chemex, pour-over, Aeropress, or pod machines.
